Visit to Martyn Clarke's

An Afternoon of Early Music and History. 

Martyn Clarke, renowned musician and collector of early keyboard instruments, will give a talk on the development of the harpsichord, clavichord and piano and perform pieces of music written for each.

Location: Martyn’s home, an old school house near Oxburgh Hall.

Admission is £10 per person and includes light refreshments.

From Swaffham:

Take the Cley Road S.W. out of Swaffham towards Cockley Cley and Oxborough.

After approximately 7 miles, look for the 30 mph signs on entering Oxborough and then about 150 yards further on the Left, enter the Car Park of the Oxborough Village Hall.

Facing the Village Hall, exit the Car Park to the Right, then turn Left down the Lane. The house, “Sunnyside” is about thirty yards on the Left, facing the Green. It is a yellow rendered house with black metal railings and three dormer windows.

Come up the drive and enter through the side door on the Left.


From King’s Lynn:

Take A 134 South and turn Left towards Oxburgh Hall and Oxborough Village.

You will pass Oxburgh Hall on your right. Stay on the Oxborough Road past the cross roads following the signs to Swaffham or Gooderstone. The ruined church and the Bedingfield Arms Pub will be on your Right.  Once past the cross roads, The Green will be on your right.

50 yards further on the Right, is the Oxborough Village Hall. Turn Right into the Car Park.
